Rotary District Governor, David Baggett D7730 reported that he had an excellent experience in Ghana with all the Ghanaian Rotarians, led by Rotarian Chairperson Marigold Korri of the Rotary Family Health Days Steering Committee.  Dave said it was a well done project providing great benefit to the target population.  This program in Ghana was fully supported by a Global Grant consisting of DDF funds from 29 Rotary Districts in Zone 33 and 34 – a first of its kind in Global Grants.  Not one of the 29 DGs in the two Zones had any idea this was going to be as successful as it was and many wished they had gone and joined Dave in Ghana as a volunteer.  Dave said “they missed out.”

At a Zone 33 & 34 Zone Institute last week, Dave said that the Ghana program was the talk of the meeting – so much so that the District Governors got together and made an informal video about this program and how they put their money to such great use in supporting this program.
